Pascal Billard obtained his bachelor’s degree in agronomic sciences, with a specialization in business management in France. Having worked on three continents (Africa, Europe, North America), he has participated in the design and management of numerous projects aimed at sustainable development in the agri-food and environmental sectors. He is President and CEO of SOL-AIR Consultants, a company that assists decision-makers in companies, cooperatives, organizations, communities and administrations involved in the development of agriculture, agri-food, the circular economy and the environment, in carrying out feasibility and market studies, as well as business plans for setting up or expanding companies.
Deeply involved in the cooperative movement, he has helped set up numerous cooperatives, mainly in the agricultural and agri-food sectors. He is a business coach and collective entrepreneurship trainer for several Ontario organizations. He is vice-president of CoopZone, Canada’s network of cooperative developers, and a director of Cooperatives and Mutuals Canada, a member-driven association that unites, engages and leads the cooperative movement in advancing its priorities nationally and internationally, including through its membership of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).
