Mr. Dess Mardan Basnet, born in 1975 in Kathmandu, Nepal, holds a PhD in Management (2021) from PacificAcademy of Higher Education and Research University, Udaipur, India. His thesis explored the relationships between personality traits, self-efficacy, and organizational commitment in Nepalese SACCOS. He earned an MBS from Shanker Dev Campus, Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University, specializing in International Marketing and Marketing Research (2007).
Dr. Basnet has over 20 years of professional experience. He was the Founder/Managing Director of Accurate English Institute (1999-2021) and has taught at Nepal Open University since 2021-2023. He served as Administrative Officer for Junior Achievement Nepal (2005-2007). He former General Secretary of Bachan SACCOS and Founder/CEO of Bachan Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited, where he has been working as the CEO since 2008 till date. He lectured on Organizational Behavior at Nepal Open University (2021-2023). Compliance Officer at Bachan SACCOS from August 21, 2023 till date.
A philanthropic leader, he founded World Without Anger (WWA) in 2007, and he is currently the Founder/President. Dr. Basnet has contributed to ten international research papers and served as Managing Editor for World Without Anger International Journal and Cambridge Scholars Publishing. He is a Board Member of EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc., USA (2019-present). He has visited India, China, Quarter, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, and Bangladesh.
