ACE Board – Call for Nominations

Deadline for application: Friday, June 30, 2023

The Nominating Committee of the ACE Board of Directors is currently seeking candidates for the ACE Board of Directors. If you are interested in running for the ACE Board of Directors, please send the following information to info@ace.coop for consideration by the ACE Board Nominating Committee. The deadline for applications is Friday, June 30, 2023.

  • Your CV or biographical summary with relevant experience (300 words maximum),
  • a photo,
  • your contact details.

Five positions are to be filled starting August 2023:

  • three seats for a 3-year term,
  • one two-year interim seat,
  • one one-year interim seat.

Terms will begin once elected nominees are announced Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Annual General Meeting in San Juan. You must be an ACE member in good standing to be considered. To verify your membership status, please contact info@ace.coop.

The Nominating Committee will review your application and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors. If the Nominating Committee accepts your application, the Board will contact you to make you an official candidate and advise you of the next steps in the process.

Please note that ACE’s bylaws stipulate that the organization may have up to 9 directors. According to Article VI, Section 1, “The Board of Directors shall consist of at least two directors each elected from Zones 1 and 2 and at least one director elected from Zone 3.” See the zones defined below:

Zone 1 – All U.S. states;

Zone 2 – All Canadian provinces;

Zone 3 – All Caribbean islands, including Puerto Rico;

Zone 4 – All other zones.

This allows ACE to respect its historical geographical representation of Canada, the United States and the Caribbean.
