A) DECISIONS AT CROSSROADS
ACE President Rod Kelsay introduces the theme of the Institute “Crossroads: Choosing Cooperation” and former ACE executive administrator Bill Patrie who pays tribute to recently deceased ACE Members and extraordinary U.S. cooperative leaders Rod Nilsestuen and John Logue.
Kelsay then welcomes the Institute’s Keynote Speaker David C. Korten who urges rebuilding Main Street economies: “It’s time to bring down the Wall; to declare our independence from Wall Street.” He adds, “first, change the cultural stories that frame our understanding of the nature and purpose of the economy and its defining institutions: Call that cooperative education.” The podcast is 1:07:31.
